Surrey RCMP say the fire that left three people, including two kids in hospital is suspicious in nature.
Two of the people injured in the fire were kids, and they are now in critical condition in hospital.
On Sunday at about 10:30 a.m., a fire was reported in the basement suite of a home in the 7100-block of 144B Street.
“Investigators believe this is a suspicious fire and Surrey RCMP are currently working with Surrey Fire Services to determine the cause,” Surrey RCMP said in a release. “The investigation is currently in the information gathering stages, with no further details available at this time.”
