How would you address those issues if you were elected?
Our Conservative government will live within its means and put more money in Canadian’s pockets so they can build the life they want.
We will: Remove the GST from home heating bills and home energy costs. Make parental benefits tax-free. Provide a Universal Tax Cut to all hard working taxpayers. Implement the Green Tax Credit to make Public Transit passes more affordable. Implement a Children’s Fitness Tax Credit. Implement a Children’s Arts & Learning Tax Credit. Boost the Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP). Cancel $1.5B in corporate welfare and redirect savings to Canadians. o Increase the Age Credit by $1,000. Reduce wait times for potentially life-saving scans. o Provide more support for Canada’s Veterans. o Repeal Trudeau’s tax hikes on small business investments. Help homeowners pay for energy-saving renovations through the Green Homes Tax Credit (GHTC).
What makes you the best person for this job?
Peter Julian, the NDP incumbent, has been the Member of Parliament for New Westminster-Burnaby for fifteen years. In that time, he has sponsored forty-six Private Member’s Bills (potential laws). Zero have passed.
I firmly believe it’s time for our community to have an effective voice in Parliament. The best way to ensure that is to elect an MP that is part of a governing party. After four years of Justin Trudeau’s political failures, it’s time for new leadership and a new Conservative government.
I’m deeply committed to seeing our community thrive, and I’m ready to serve and celebrate New Westminster-Burnaby in Parliament.
