Today’s Flashback song is ‘You Shook Me All Night Long’ released in 1980 by legendary rock band AC/DC.
The song was the first single released with Brian Johnson as the main vocalist, after AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson died of a drinking binge, and boy, was it ever successful!
According to the band, it was Johnson who came up with the line “She was a fast machine, she kept her motor clean” when the group was chatting about how women and cars are alike.
However to this day die-hard rock fans believe it was the late Bon Scott who wrote the majority of the song that he sadly never got a chance to sing.
Brian Johnson, on the other hand, denies such rumors and says that they were inspired by American girls while writing lyrics to the song.
Rockers “inspired” by women?! You don’t say!
