This past weekend Pulse FM was on location at Surrey’s Fusion Festival that happens every year at Holland Park. The minute you step foot onsite it’s obvious you couldn’t pick an event with more energy or delicious smells!
Surrey Fusion Festival is the ultimate celebration of food, music and culture. This year more than 50 countries took part, each booth serving up their country’s signature dishes for festival goers to devour and let me tell you there was no lack of flavour!
From Argentinian pickled pork sandwiches, Nepal veggie momos, Honduran fried chicken and plantains, Jamaican fresh pineapple smoothies, and French chocolate strawberry crepes, it’s safe to say I ate as much as my wallet and belly could stand (I swear, I did WORK when I wasn’t stuffing my face ha!)
I can still taste the Honduran dish, it was hands down one of the best chicken dishes I’ve ever had. And the pineapple smoothie was SO fresh, you’d swear they picked the fruit that morning. If like me, your favourite part about travelling is the food Surrey Fusion Festival is a must-attend event. Where else can you sample the best the world has to offer without leaving your own city? Take me back!
