Things to do this weekend….
If you haven’t already fulfilled your New Year’s Resolutions and crammed up my gym parking lot, check out the open house at Ora Fitness & Yoga. This is a brand new fitness and yoga centre opening up near Highway 10 and 152 later this year. They are already open in their presale location closer to Langley and are hosting this open house there on Saturday. There’s going to be a live DJ and free classes from 8AM to 2PM. There will be other experts and therapists on site to help with any questions you might have. It’s a great way to get a feel for this new gym and try out some great classes.
Langley is celebrating world literacy day on Saturday, January 27, at two of the Langley Libraries – the main branch near City Hall is hosting a Family Fun day full of activities supporting reading and literacy from 11AM-2PM. Great stations for your little ones to check out! The Fort Langley library is having a book, games and puzzle sale all weekend.
Looking for a way for your littles to burn off some energy? The City of Surrey is hosting a Family Fun Night at the Don Christian Rec Centre (6220 184 Street, Surrey) in Cloverdale, Surrey. Bounce in the bouncy castle, play games and crafts. This event is FREE! It will run from 5:30 to 7:30 on Friday, Jan. 26.
Do you dream of having a little soccer star? Not sure if your preschooler is ready? Check out the Coastal Cubs Open House where you can bring your little one to try out some club soccer with Coastal FC, meet the coaches and learn what it’s all about! It’s at the White Rock Baseball club in the morning of Tuesday, January 30. You should register online first.
Date night? You can go out on a budget! Restaurants know you’re still recovering from Christmas and Taste of White Rock is on at a number of establishments in White Rock and all price points are covered from $10 through $40. Dine out JRG is also on at the S&L in both Langley and South Surrey where $40 gets you a 3 course menu!
