Mounties are continuing a campaign to slam the brakes on bad drivers throughout this city.
On Wednesday, May 22, RCMP from Surrey, Langley and White Rock, together with Abbotsford Police, ICBC and Speed Watch volunteers will be at various locations along the Fraser Highway corridor and 16 Avenue/North Bluff corridor to remind drivers that reducing your speed gives you more time to react.
Speed is still the leading cause of car crash fatalities in B.C., killing 82 people on average every year.
That’s why police have been stepping up enforcement throughout May targeting speeders as part of a province-wide campaign.
