On Wednesday Pulse Mornings welcomed Tom Gill (Surrey First), Bruce Hayne (Surrey Integrity Now), Rajesh Jayaprakash (People First Surrey), Pauline Greaves (Proudly Surrey), Imtiaz Popat (Progressive Sustainable Surrey), Doug McCallum (Safe Surrey Coalition) and François Nantel (Independent) for day seven of our Mayoral Candidate Conversations on Pulse 107.7 FM.
Topics in the discussion, moderated by Pulse Morning’s Ian Power, ranged from how they plan to keep up with Surrey’s population demand and manage growth properly, whether they support a municipal police force, as well whether candidates would follow through on Surrey LRT since the finances have already been finalized or whether they’d consider holding up the project in favor of Skytrain.
Pulse Mornings also took questions from our Facebook Live stream (107.7 Pulse FM) where candidates in favor of extending Skytrain along Fraser Highway were asked how they would fund the project and what measures they will put in place to address homelessness in Surrey.
BONUS – A lively conversation on LRT also took place during commercials on Facebook live! Make sure to check it out as well the entire hour long candidate conversation on the Facebook Live video below or listen to the SoundCloud audio clip!
And, tune into Thursday’s Pulse Mornings candidate conversation beginning at 7:30 a.m. where we welcome City of Langley candidates to the studio.
