On Tuesday Pulse Mornings welcomed Incumbent Port Moody Mayor Mike Clay and Mayoral Candidate Rob Vagramov for day two of our Mayoral Candidate Conversations taking place over the next two weeks on Pulse 107.7 FM.
Topics in the discussion, moderated by Pulse Morning’s Ian Power, ranged from what the pros and cons are of selling Port Moody’s former firehall and current works yard for redevelopment, what steps they’d take to reduce the homeless population and provide more affordable housing in the city and what are the defining differences in the candidates leadership styles.
With voter turnout in Port Moody’s 2014 munipal election 35 per cent Clay and Vagramov were also asked what it will take to engage the electorate, how they’ll ensure property taxes stay in the rate of inflation or less and who is their favourite 90s artist.
Clay said he prefers to listen to 80s music like Journey and Aerosmith.
Vagramov loves anything Ja Rule and Ashanti.
