On Friday Pulse Mornings welcomed some of the Delta school trustee candidates running in the October 20th municipal election for day three of our South of the Fraser candidate conversations taking place over the next three weeks on Pulse 107.7 FM.
Laura Dixon (Independants Working for You), Daniel Boisvert (Acheiving for Delta), Rhiannon Bennett (Delta Voices), Bruce Reid (Kids Matter) and Melody Pan (Independent) took part in today’s event (for a full list of trustee candidates click here)
Topics in the discussion, moderated by Pulse Morning’s Ian Power, ranged from how trustees plan to build consensus and implement their party’s platform to attract votes and whether trustees support Delta School District 24’s current model of practice accepting a large number of International neighbouring city students to their district or whether they would chose a different plan for enrolment. Trustees were also asked their thoughts on how they they would advocate for SOGI 1 2 3 to promote diversity and ensure classrooms are a respectful and inclusive environment for all.
