One of the best places to spot marine wildlife in the Lower Mainland is at Whytecliff Park, next to Horseshoe Bay.
Its an easy drive up from South Fraser, just head north on Hwy 99.
Its a beautiful scenic beach where you can either kick back and relax by the water,
waiting for the next marine animal to make an appearance,
Or you can take a hike up the rocks for a gorgeous scenic view of West Vancouver,
and watch the BC Ferries go by.
I was at Whytecliff this week and was able to spot both a seal and an octopus
hanging out on the rocks! So awesome.
If you’ve never taken a visit to the beautiful scenic beach of Whytecliff park,
it is one of the most beautiful spots in the Lower Mainland, and we highly recommend it!
Just make sure you bring running/hiking shoes, your bathing suit,
and have your cell phone camera on hand, as you just might
see a seal or two hanging out on the rocks!
