LGBTQ activism began in Surrey more than twenty years ago. This panel brings together leaders and members of Surrey’s LGBTQ+ community to discuss the history of activism in the city.
Please join James Chamberlain, Martin Rooney, Alex Sangha, Jen Marchbank of SFU Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies, a representative of Youth for A Change and moderator Elise Chenier of SFU Department of History for an evening of presentations and discussion. Participating organizations include EPAMA (Empire of the Peace Arch Monarchist Association), Sher Vancouver, Surrey Pride Society and Youth for A Change.
