Two local mountains are open for business starting Friday November 10th! This will be the earliest opening for Grouse in 40 years and 33 years for Cypress!
Cypress has received 30 centimetres of fresh snow in the last week and they recently expanded their snowmaking system which allows the mountain to make huge amounts of snow! Downhill ski runs will be open 9am to 4pm and the Skate Park will also be open as well. The Nordic area won’t be ready this weekend but cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snow tubing are expected to start soon. Tickets on opening day will be 40% off.
Grouse will have limited terrain open on Friday starting at 3pm. The Paradise Bowl via the Greenway Chair and The Cut via the Screaming Eagle Express. Grouse has received 24 centimetres in the last week of fresh show. The slopes will be open weekdays 3pm to 10 p.m. and weekends and holidays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Weekday hours will be extended once additional terrain opens. Grouse Mountain’s skating pond is already open.
Get ready for what looks to be a great season on the local mountains!
