The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team says Cloverdale hockey coach Paul Bennett’s death was a case of mistaken identity
On Thursday afternoon IHIT tweeted “On June 23rd at about 4pm, Paul Bennett was the unintended victim of a targeted shooting outside his home in the Cloverdale area. He was truly an innocent victim with no associations to any form of criminality. Investigation remains very active and ongoing. IHIT strongly encourages anyone with any information to come forward.”
Investigators would also like to speak with anyone with information about a newer model silver 4-door Honda Civic seen leaving the area after the shooting (see below)
