Lots of events happening over this Family Day weekend all around the Lower Mainland.
On Thursday in New Westminster, Scripts and Sips: Beer Edition, Drink pairings with play readings happens at 7 pm at the Anvil Centre – and it’s free!
The City of Coquitlam is hosting family fun days at 5 locations over the weekend with different events for kids of all ages including activities like kids’ Zumba, bouncy castle, popcorn, and a ton of other great fun!
In White Rock, Centennial Arena will have a FREE Family Day Skate. Free admission, free skate rentals, and free healthy snacks and refreshments.
In the City of Surrey, arenas will be hosting Fiesta Day Family Skates from February 9 to February 12. Skate rentals and helmets will be free as well! At the Newton Athletic Pavilion, enjoy a parent and preschool play. Visit the Surrey Nature Centre for guided nature walks, storytimes and other nature activities.
For something different, check out the Geocache Hunt at Clayton Park and go on a treasure hunt! (Pre-register with the City of Surrey. Or go back in time and visit the Historic Stewart Farm!
If you want to get wet, the City of Surrey is also offering free swimming sessions! There are also family fun activities scheduled for Chuck Bailey, Cloverdale Rec Centre and Guildford. Check the Family Day schedule for the timing for each location!
The City of Langley is hosting a special family day celebration at Timms Community Centre. There will be activities for all ages like crafts, bouncy castles, face painting and more.
Free events and activities for Family Day in New Westminster include activities at various locations. Anvil Centre’s Family Fun Zone will feature Science World on the Road, Ishdafish, Nintendo games, photo booth fun, live entertainment, crafts and much more. The City’s Parks & Recreation facilities will be offering a variety of activities including swimming, fitness classes, skating, arts and crafts and entertainment.
Don’t forget about the Lunar New Year celebrations starting next week – Central City is hosting a special event on Monday, February 12, with traditional music, crafts, dragon dance and much more.
