There’s nothing better than family! And what about an adorable little badger family?
The Greater Vancouver Zoo welcomes two new family members: Dozer and Sandy! Badgers 
are an endangered species in BC. The Greater Vancouver Zoo has not only created a home closely resembling their natural habitat, they are educating zoo guests about how and why these creatures are endangered.
Did you know: Badgers love to burrow! Their specially constructed enclosure was built to accommodate and encourage this natural behavior.
Very few people will see badgers in the wild, as they are nocturnal and nomadic (kind of like my tweenager). Take this opportunity to visit and observe Dozer and Sandy and learn about how you can support the badger population as well as our general environment and natural ecosystem!
