The BC Fugitive Return Program, a program unique to the RCMP in British Columbia,
which arrests people who have criminal histories in other provinces and living in BC,
plus transports them back to the jurisdictions where they are wanted,
has reached their 200 Fugitive-Returned milestone.
Chief Superintendent Manny Mann (who is the officer in charge of the RCMP E Division – Major Crime Section) made the announcement today at the BC RCMP Headquarters in Surrey,
alongside reps from the BC Government, BC Sheriff Service, BC Civil Forfeiture, and Vancouver Police Department.
The BC Fugitive Return Program not only helps to hold these wanted criminals accountable for their actions, but also prevents further criminal activity in BC.
The program was first launched in 2012.
