On June 1, surrounded by over 400 of Langley Memorial’s closest friends and supporters at the Old Hollywood Gala, Foundation Executive Director Vivian Smith, Board Chair Ellen Peterson, and Emergency Response Campaign Chair Phil Jackman had the privileged of announcing 113 per cent raised on the $15-million goal to support Langley’s new Emergency Department and MRI Suite.
In total, $17,000,000 was raised to support this important urgent health care project.
“We have a vision,” said Vivian Smith. “Our eyes are on the day when local health care services have all the resources to meet Langley’s needs. Your support tonight has really taken us one giant leap forward to fulfill that vision. For this, we are eternally grateful.”
Because of the community’s extraordinary generosity, the Foundation has completed the commitment to the Emergency Department and the MRI Suite buildings and is well on the way to FULLY equipping the Emergency Department with the latest and the best medical equipment available.
In the below video, Langley’s emergency services staff speak about why we need a new Emergency Department and MRI Suite, and how it will improve care for our community.
